Volunteers positions
The NEW MASSAGE ASSOCIATION is looking for experienced massage therapists and massage teachers to be a jury member at the European Massage Championship as well as other massage events , in the following categories:
*ASIAN INSPIRED (Ayurveda – thai-shiatsu-cupping-chinese- tui_na -yumeiho-amna-TCM)
*WESTERN INSPIRED (Californian – lomi lomi – connective – Swedish – aromatherapy – cupping – freestyle – myofascial – deep tissue – neuromuscular)
*WELLNESS -SPA (spa treatments-facial treatments-aesthetic massages-lymphatic drainage)
*FACE MASSAGE
*SPORTS MASSAGE (pre-post workout therapies)

WHAT YOU WILL DO
– Attend all online judge meetings in preparation for the event.
– During the championship: be in the rooms during the massage sessions
– Pay particular attention to all the rules set out by the New Massage Association, including:
- the posture of the massage therapist
- innovative massage techniques
- the concentration
- to the massage table setting
- the fluidity of the massage
- make sure the participants respect the privacy of the recipient
- adequate attire
- use of proper massage tools and oils
- establish a proper diagnosis before starting the massage and request feedback at the end of the massage
etc.

REQUIREMENTS
– Experience as a massage therapist for more than 10+ years
– Experience as a massage teacher for 5+ years
– Knowledge of many massage techniques
– In-depth knowledge of at least one technique listed in the aforementioned categories

Country manager for the New massage Association organizer of the European Massage Championship
The NEW MASSAGE ASSOCIATION is looking for wellness executives who wish to get involved and represent it’s values and activities throughout the world.
NewMa is the official organizer of the European Championship. The third edition will be 12-13-14 May 2023 in Sibiu, Romania. The first edition was in Spilamberto, Italy. The second was in Nice, France.
This position is not honorary; it is for those who want to bring value to the massage community worldwide, through concrete action. The position is voluntary.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Organize multiple in-person and/or online meetups for massage therapists and spa executives.
- Organize one nation wide event every year
- Represent the Association and its values in your country or region.
- Inform the wellness community of NewMa’s activities and onboard new members and participants.
- Assist with translating and proof reading our communication for your country.
- Be in touch with local administration for recognition of NewMa’s activities
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in or strong willingness to learn event organization, big or small.
- Attend association meetings to be aware of activities and plans.
- Knowledge of the massage and wellness community.
- English (spoken and written) + the language of the country you will be managing.

The second will be close to Nice, France 27-28-29 of May 2022.
We are a team of 7 voluntary founders, located in various places in Europe.

- move tables
- organize the rooms
- get last minute accessories
