European Massage Championship 2022 Categories

International participants

Participants who are not European or who do not work in Europe must enter the international category.

By Europe we mean geographical Europe, and this includes all the countries listed below.

International participants have the same medals as the other except for the final for which the overall winner will be European.

 - When you register you will choose 2 categories. They can be the same or different.
- All massages can be on table, futon or chair

Facial Massage (NEW)

All facial treatments (including Kobido)

Asian Inspired

  • Ayurveda
  • MTC
  • Thai
  • Shiatsu
  • Tui-na
  • Anma
  • Chinese
  • Yumeiho
  • Cupping with or without tools
  • Asian Freestyle (Asian technique as main influence mixed with other categories)

Western Inspired

  • Californian
  • Lomi Lomi
  • Swedish
  • Connective Tissue
  • Aromatherapy
  • Cupping
  • Bodywork and Freestyle
  • Myofascial
  • Deep Tissue
  • Neuromuscular
  • Western freestyle (Western technique as main influence mixed with other categories)

Wellness-Spa

  • Spa Treatments
  • Maderotherapy – Bamboo Massage
  • Hot-stone
  • Aesthetic
  • Lymphatic Draining
  • Wellness freestyle (Wellness technique as main influence mixed with other categories)

Sports

  • Athlete/bodybuilder/marathon runner etc. 
  • Pre-training or post-training massage therapies
  • Sports-specific maintenance massage for amateur or professional athletes

International Participants

🌍 There is no more separate International Category
International participants will be in the same categories with all other participants.
For the medals: the top 3 international participants – from all categories – will get 1 trophy and 3 medals.
For the final: the gold will participate for demonstration purposes, but cannot win the overall title.

Who is international participant? 

For the European Massage Championship: If you are from outside of Europe, and you do not work in Europe

For the Campeonato Ibérico: If you are from outside of Spain or Portugal, and you do not work in Spain or Portugal
