European Massage Championship 2022 Rules
Who can participate
All professional massage therapists from anywhere in the world.
European participants
European massage therapists can enter any of the categories except international. By European we mean geographical Europe, and this includes all the countries listed here.
International non-European participants
Participants who are not European or who do not work in Europe must enter the international category.
Judging criteria
– Technique
– Ergonomics
– Massage Flow
– Innovation
– Interaction with the receiver (before/during/after)
– Work Environment, table preparation
– Quality of products used
– Tools (why use and how)
– Client feedback is also factored in
– Massage therapist presentation
Full Rules
The full set of rules will be communicated to all the participants about 1 month before the championship.
Insurance
Participants must have insurance covering them for their massages except if their country does not have any insurance for massage therapists they may bypass this rule.
The New Massage Association is covered for the full event, but massage therapists must be covered just for their massage. This should be the same insurance as the one they have as a professional massage therapist in their country. It can be their spa employee insurance, or their freelance therapist insurance.
