Violeta Munteanu

I always loved massage and I was ”practicing” from when I was little in my family, but I discovered my passion for it  when I was a teenager and had an accident. At the time I was practicing Qwan Ki Do and I was preparing for the National Championship. One day, after a wrong  movement during training, I got a horrible pain in my lower back. The doctors told me I needed surgery and after i would not be able to perform martial arts or other spot anymore. I decided  first to try something less invasive and I start to look for alternatives. My trainer was a massage therapist and in the following weeks, I combined different massage techniques with breathing exercise ,Reiki, physiotherapy and passive stretching/yoga. After one month I fully recovered and after another month I competed at the nationals were i won a medal. That was the moment that changed my life and made me discover my path.

Few years later, in 2009 ,I graduated as a Massage Therapist from Massage School Dragomir in Bucharest were I learned different kinds of massages, from Classic to sport, medical recovery, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, wellness or reflexology. During years I studied as well Yumeiho, Thai Massage, Bowen Therapy, Physiognomy (Mian Xiang method) , Reiki, Aromatherapy, Ayurveda etc.

From 2011 I live in Belgium, were I was working at some of the most prestigious spas, and in 2016 I started my own project Violet Effect that have now two locations, one outside Bruxelles in Kampenhout  and second one in Leuven in collaboration with a Osteopathy clinic.

In 2017 I wanted a new challenge and I participated at the World Massage Championship, were I won the  gold medal in wellness category with my signature massage MistMassage by Violet Effect, but most important, I won networking, new friends and  now I am part of a big family.

My goal in life is to develope, learn as much as possible, share my passion for practicing  massage with others and provide high quality and efficient treatments to my clients.

This is the reason I decided to involve in projects like EMA, IMA and travel as much as possible to exchange experience with other therapists around the world.

Massage is my gift, my passion and my life mission.
