Conditions for Participation in NewMa Events and Championships (the “Terms”)

 (the “Organizer”).

1) Scope and acceptance

1. These Terms apply to any person registering for, attending, or participating in any NewMa event or championship (the “Event”).

2. By registering, you confirm you have read and accept these Terms, and you agree to comply with all instructions given by the Organizer and venue staff during the Event.

2) Eligibility and qualifications

1. Participation is open exclusively to professional massage therapists, and wellness professionals. 

2. You must hold valid credentials, certifications, or licenses that allow you to practice massage therapy legally in your home country at the time of the Event.

3. You confirm you are at least 16 years old on the Event start date.

3) Registration, fees, and communications

1. Registration fees, what is included, and payment terms are published on the official Event website and may vary by edition/category.

2. A registration is considered confirmed only after full payment is received and you receive a confirmation email (or equivalent confirmation).

3. Official Event communications (logistics, scheduling, rule updates) are sent using the contact details you provide; you are responsible for keeping them accurate.

4) Attendance and scheduling

1. Participants are required to be present on-site from the opening hour of day one until the official closing time of the Event.

2. The Organizer may adjust the Event schedule (including order, time slots, and room allocation) at short notice; you agree to remain available on-site to accommodate reasonable changes.

5) Competition rules and standards

1. You must comply with the published competition rules, judging criteria, and any category-specific requirements communicated before or during the Event.

2. The Organizer may refuse participation, suspend a participant, or disqualify a participant for serious or repeated breaches of these Terms, safety rules, or professional standards.

6) Code of conduct

1. You must act professionally at all times, including maintaining appropriate boundaries with models/clients, judges, staff, and other participants.

2. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, sexual misconduct, or any non-consensual behavior is prohibited and may lead to immediate removal without refund.

3. You agree to follow all venue rules, local laws, and reasonable instructions related to safety, crowd management, and event operations.

7) Hygiene, draping, and safety

1. Participants must observe high hygiene standards (clean hands, clean linens, clean equipment) and maintain a safe working environment.

2. Proper professional draping and respect for the model/client’s comfort and consent are required at all times.

3. The Organizers, Jury members and Flow Leaders may stop a session if a safety, hygiene, or consent concern arises.

8) Equipment and materials

1. Unless otherwise stated on the Event website, competitors are responsible for bringing their own approved oils, tools, and necessary materials.

2. Any prohibited substances, unsafe tools, or materials not permitted by the venue or local law may not be used.

9) Insurance and responsibility

1. All participants must carry their own professional liability insurance that is valid for the location and dates of the Event.

2. It is your sole responsibility to ensure you are properly insured (including, where applicable, coverage for hands-on practice, public liability, and professional indemnity).

3. You participate at your own risk, subject to any non-excludable rights under applicable law.

10) Media (photo/video) and image use

1. The Event may be photographed and/or filmed.

2. By registering and participating, you acknowledge that you may be captured in photo/video and you authorize the Organizer to use your image/likeness in Event-related communications and promotional materials (including online and social media).

3. If you want your image removed from Organizer-controlled digital channels, you may request removal by email to [email protected]; the Organizer will make reasonable efforts to comply, but cannot guarantee removal from third-party reposts or content not controlled by the Organizer.

11) Personal data (GDPR notice)

1. The Organizer processes personal data you provide for purposes such as registration administration, participant management, scheduling, safety/security, and responding to inquiries.

2. For GDPR compliance, marketing/newsletter consent (if used) should be collected separately and must not be bundled with acceptance of these Terms, and consent boxes should not be pre-ticked.

3. Participants should be informed at registration about their core GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure where applicable, objection, restriction, portability where applicable) and how to exercise them.​

12) Changes, cancellation, and force majeure

1. The Organizer may update these Terms when necessary; the version published on the website at the time of purchase applies, unless changes are required by law or for safety.

2. The Organizer may cancel, postpone, or modify the Event for reasons beyond reasonable control (including venue issues, safety risks, or force majeure).

3. Refunds (if any) in such circumstances are handled according to the Refund Policy page.

13) Governing law and disputes

1. These Terms are governed by the laws of France.

2. Any dispute shall be handled by the competent courts of Paris, unless mandatory consumer protection rules require otherwise.
