Coming into Massage Therapy at age 50 as a result of losing her severely disabled son, Susan realized the need to transition her practice from using her hands to utilizing her bare feet to help extend her career. Now a licensed and certified DeepFeet Ashiatsu Barefoot Therapist, Susan utilizes this ancient eastern modality by integrating her advanced Ashi skills with traditional and modern techniques. Using bars suspended above her table allows gravity and her own body weight to sink deeper into the clients tissue resulting in a safer, more therapeutic and energetic massage with positive results.
Susan was the overall Iowa State Gold Medal winner at the 2024 Siouxland Tri State Massage Championships and was the Gold Medal winner in the South Carolina Massage Championships in the first state competition to hold an Ashiatsu category! She has competed at the National and International level at the 2024 AMC National and IMA International Championships! She is excited to compete at the 2025 New Massage Association Championships in Paris France!
