3-Hour Demonstration and Learning-by-Doing Workshop
Theme: Integrating Western (Sports, Deep Tissue) and Eastern (Yoga, Thai Yoga) Bodywork Approaches
This session introduces, Optimal Massage Therapy West-Sports East-Yoga Fascia A.M.D (Anatomy-Movement-Dynamic) Integration, a holistic system designed to cultivate mind–body awareness by leveraging the strengths of both traditions. By integrating detailed anatomical work from the West with energy-based movement from the East, participants will discover a more comprehensive and effective therapeutic approach.
Learning Highlights
- Understanding Myofascial Chains – continuous lines of muscles and connective tissue linking regions of the body, transmitting tension, movement, and force across multiple joints.
- Exploring how the body functions as an integrated system, emphasizing whole-body coordination and posture.
- Learning how to transition seamlessly from dry work to liquid wax/balm-based soft-tissue techniques for optimal therapeutic effect.
- Introduction to the Interflow Method principles and the integration of Eastern–Western soft-tissue therapies.
Focus Areas
- Plantar Fascia–Heel Pad–Achilles Tendon Chain
- Fascia Lata – The Fascia of the Thigh
- Diagonal Latissimus–Gluteal Muscle Chain
- Shoulder–Elbow Myofascial Chain
- Chest–Biceps Chain
- Foot Arch–Adductors–Pelvic Floor Chain
- The Abdominal Network
Methodological Approach
Participants will work in line with the key elements of an integrated therapeutic method such as:
- Fusion of Therapeutic Techniques
- Segmented, Structured Approach
- Initial Palpation and Assessment
- Joint Mobilization
- Pre-Stretching and Breathing Techniques
- Gradual Stretching Sequences
- Soft-Tissue and Muscle Release
- Advanced Sports & Deep Tissue Techniques
- Body Awareness and Mechanics
- Assisted Yoga Stretches
Bridging Eastern and Western Limitations
- Western approaches excel in detailed anatomical precision, effectively addressing muscular imbalances and tension but may lack emphasis on energy flow and holistic balance.
- Eastern approaches emphasize energy channels, flexibility, and mind–body integration but may not always address deep muscular layers.
By combining these strengths, the Interflow Method creates a treatment that is both anatomically precise and energetically balanced — achieving results neither approach could offer alone.
